ince 1983 Alcelenguas has been dedicated to teaching Spanish as a foreign language, as well as to promoting the language as an essential component of our country’s rich culture.

In group classes and in one-to-one classes – whether provided at students’ homes, workplaces or at our centre – we have accompanied many students in their efforts to learn Spanish and have helped them to overcome the difficulties of our language. Our teachers seek to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the classroom to help students overcome all their challenges (including the notoriously unfriendly subjunctive form). We use a wide range of methods and materials to help students improve their language skills, combining communication skills and the study of grammar in a balanced way.

We have been an official DELE Examination Centre since 2012, and we offer Diploma preparation courses for students with different levels.

This century Spanish has become the second most studied language in the world. It is also the official language in 21 states, which together represent nearly 500 million people.

Hébergement

COLEGIO MAYOR UNIVERSITARIO MENDEL
The Colegio Mayor Universitario Mendel is a hall of residence for university students which is affiliated to the Complutense University of Madrid.

Although Mendel only provides accommodation to male students during the academic year, the hall welcomes mixed groups in the months of July and August. These groups usually consist of people from outside Spain, who come to Madrid to participate in summer courses.

The hall of residence has single rooms which are all equipped with their own bathroom, telephone and a fast Internet connection.

Accommodation at the Colegio Mayor Mendel is full board: breakfast, lunch and dinner are all included.

Among other facilities, the hall has its own swimming pool, gym, cafeteria, computer room, music room and TV room (with DVD player).
