IDEA is located in the centre of Granada, providing easy access to the main shopping areas, the University, bars, restaurants and local attractions. The school is fully equipped with modern facilities, spacious classrooms, library, patio and air conditioning.

All our teachers are highly qualified graduates with specialities in chosen fields, such as literature, business, translation, history and culture. We have many years of experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language in various institutes and countries, at all levels, and have worked with different nationalities from all over the world. This has enabled us to design our own courses using modern teaching techniques, which develop all the necessary language skills, yet, at the same time, make the classes fun and enjoyable. The team at IDEA is made up of young, dynamic and open-minded personalities who inject an enthusiasm into the classroom that encourages interest and conversation. They also participate in all the extra activities, which helps to develop the student - teacher relationship.

The philosophy behind IDEA is to offer high quality teaching with a personal approach. We aim to create an open and dynamic form of learning, based on flexibility, combined with communication and formal reflection, continually focusing on the specific needs of each student. All classes have a maximum of 8 students, which allows for individualised attention. The student has the opportunity to develop their language abilities by putting into practise listening, reading, speaking and writing skills through natural methods. We aim to encourage students to use the language practically from the beginning, through conversation, media articles, television, music, etc, while still concentrating on the fundamental basics and set objectives.

The characters of our students greatly influence the manner in which we teach. On the one hand you have diversity in age, nationality and culture which provoke dynamism and interest in the classroom; on the other hand you have a common interest, in that you are all here to learn Spanish. The intensity of our courses ensures that you will develop your language skills quickly and completely, and at the same time form relationships with fellow students and teachers that will leave you with friends for life.

i.d.e.a., Instituto de Español Albaicín, es una escuela de español que se encuentra en el centro de Granada y que lleva en funcionamiento más de 10 años en nuestra ciudad. Ofrecemos distintos tipos de cursos relacionados con la Lengua y Cultura españolas (intensivos, DELE, Cultura, Curso para profesores,...), así como servicios de alojamiento, transporte y actividades lúdicas y educativas fuera de la escuela.

En las clases el número máximo de estudiantes es 8, aunque la media es de unos 4 estudiantes por grupo porque evitamos a toda costa mezclar personas con niveles un poco diferentes. Cada estudiante antes de empezar sus clases realizará una prueba de nivel y durante los primeros días de clase, el profesor estará muy pendiente de su adaptación al grupo.

Lo que caracteriza a nuestra escuela y lo que más valoran y destacan nuestros estudiantes es el ambiente tan cercano y familiar que hay entre los alumnos y personal de la escuela. Conocemos a todos nuestros estudiantes, pasamos mucho tiempo con ellos en clase y en las actividades sociales y turísticas que se organizan fuera de la escuela. Esto hace que estemos muy pendientes de sus necesidades, tanto académicas como personales para comprobar que se sientan bien en todo momento.
