 | Spanish Schools in Spain Private Lessons If you prefer a more flexible approach you can try individual lessons. These lessons adapt to your level and interests so that you can have a more tailor-made experience, focusing on the areas you consider you need to improve. Our teachers can also guide you with this in case you are not sure what's next for you but you want a more personal learning experience. In case you want to have individual lessons with a friend or a family member that has a similar language level we can also adapt these lessons for more than a person. Level Coures A1 Elementary Basic level. Simple, everyday phrases. Isolated words or expressions. Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help. A2 Pre Intermediate Plain and simple language. Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need. B1 Intermediate Understanding of everyday language . Clear expression of ideas. Sufficient knowledge to workplace activities. Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes B2 Upper Intermediate Structure of language (oral and written) . Expression safely in almost any situation and understanding of the native language partners. Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options. C1 Advance Almost total understanding including typical expressions of language. Similar to the mother tongue even in situations of complexity level. Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing a controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices. C2 Proficiency Commonly spoken foreign language and accurately . Using idioms. Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read. Can summarise information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation. Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in more complex situations. Courses Intensive Course 20 20 Hours per week This is our standard course, from Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 13.30. We typically divide it in 2 blocks of 2 hours each with a break of half an hour. These groups are formed by students with a similar language level (A1, B2, etc...). Students are assigned to the groups through a level test when they arrive. Intensive Course 30 30 hours per week In case the standard intensive course is not enough for you, we can offer you the intensive plus course. This is 30 hours per week. The morning block is the same as in the 20 hours course but there is an additional 2 hour session in the afternoon. This typically happens from 16.00 to 18.00 Preparation DELE DELE: Diploma Español como Lengua Extranjera. We can help you to prepare the DELE exam. This is the official international certificate that recognizes the competence in Spanish language. This certificate is handed by the Cervantes institute. The exam is not included in the course. |
 | Activities Language Courses Escuela Rías Bajas offers language courses in Spanish, English, German, French and Italian. We offer all levels and always with native teachers. Our objective is double. On one hand we will improve your level in the language of your choice. On the other hand we also use our location in a small peninsula in a bay dotted with small island to offer you the perfect place for spending holidays. We offer different outdoor activities, gastronomic tours and excursions to other places near our school. 20 H Language Course Our standard course. 2 blocks of 2 hours from Monday to Friday. 30 H Language Course Similar to 20 H Course but with an extra 2 hour block on the afternoon DELE Preparation course Course that prepares you for you to get the DELE certificate, the only official document that recognizes Spanish language competence internationally. Individual lessons More flexible format that allows you to learn at your own pace. Activities We have a series of outdoor activities that can be bundled together in 2 different packs of be enjoyed in single sessions. The activities we offer are Kayak, surf, sailing, scuba diving, kite surfing and horse riding. More activities to come. Surf Course A 1 week course for you to learn to ride the waves Sea Adventure Bundle We provide a different experience each afternoon. Learn a language in the morning and explore the Ría in the afternoon! Gastronomic tours We guide you through O Grove trying the local delicacies and tasting wine Boat tour A Guided visit to the Ría de Arosa on board of a boat. Seafood and wine will be served on board Touristic Tour We organize visits to lovely places around our school. We can take you to Santiago de Compostela, Galicia's capital and a beautiful medieval city where the famous St. James Way ends. We can tour you through the Santiago cathedral, a building with more than a thousand years history and final stop of the most important pilgrimage route in western Europe. Or to Finisterre, the cape that was baptized by Roman legions as the true end of the world. Gastronomy We organize dinners and tapas-crawling – a typical Spanish way to taste different tapas. Most of the bars and pubs in O Grove participate in this activity – you can have a drink and one tapa in each bar. We love to share this activity with our students! We also organize boat trips around the Ría de Arousa, the bay where our school is located. During the trip we will visit some islands that are part of the Atlantic Islands National Park and seafood and wine will be served. Sports We organize a series of outdoor activities that can be enjoyed separately or in the 2 packs we offer. Surf Pack: This is a 10 hours course that lasts a week (2 hour session per day) where you can learn how to ride the waves from both the total beginner level or as a more experienced surfer. No need for equipment since we provide it all. Sea Sports Pack: This is a more varied experience where we offer a different activity each day. Horse riding on the beach, having a scuba diving baptism, kite surfing, kayak and sailing are the activities you can try with us. |
 | Accommodations All the accommodations provided are at a maximum of 20 minutes walk from the school building. The options we offer for accommodation are - Room in a standard apartment. It can be single or double - Room in a plus apartment (better equipped). It can be single or double - Room in an apartment with an Spanish family. Limit of 2 people per family. - Hotel In case you are coming with another person that is not attending any of our courses or activities, we can provide accommodation for your companion. |
