Camino Barcelona was founded in 2006 and to ensure the best Spanish learning experience, we made sure from the beginning that all of our teachers are highly qualified native speakers in ELE (Español como Lengua Extranjera).

Private Lessons
The One-to-One courses consist of 10, 20 or 30 private Spanish lessons per week. These courses are the perfect choice if you have particular needs that you do not feel will be met in a group course, or if you simply wish to have more individualized attention, so as to learn faster. The private lessons normally take place in the mornings or afternoons, Monday to Friday, at a time agreed with the student. You can concentrate on whatever areas of language you wish in your private lessons. The course will be designed to meet your particular needs and interests and will be perfectly tailored to your particular level. You can start your course on any Monday. If you like, you can combine this One-to-One course with our Intensive Spanish Course.
Business Groups
Spanish for Companies. Business Spanish
Whether you are looking for a job in Spain, or your company wants to start trading in a Spanish speaking country, this Business Spanish course in Barcelona is perfect for you! From Spain to Mexico, the Caribbean to Argentina, Spanish is the first language of business in many countries. This course will enable you to understand Spanish language economic news, begin work in a Spanish speaking company, or even prepare your own business plan in Spanish!

Choose from 4 modules, each lasting a week and focusing on a different area of business over 10 lessons. Study on 1, 2, 3 or all 4 modules, which are completely independent of each other. Even if you have just 1 week available to study Business Spanish, you can still really improve your vocabulary in the area that’s most relevant to you! If you like, you could then return later in the year to take another module.
Courses
Intensive Course 20
20 Hours per week
This is the most popular of our Spanish courses, as it is intensive enough to help you make rapid progress with your Spanish, whilst at the same time allowing you plenty of free time to explore Barcelona. The course is run from 9:30 till 13:10, Monday to Friday, 4 lessons per day. In summer months we also offer an afternoon shift.
Intensive Course 30
30 hours per week
This course is ideal if you want to learn as much Spanish as possible in the time that you have available to you. There are 25 Spanish lessons per week, with a maximum of 10 students per class (average 7). Our Super-Intensive course consists of 4 Intensive classes and the 5th class is a workshop. Everyday we have a different workshop about Spanish history, literature, cooking, pronunciation, accentuation, music, movie, photography, Gaudí, Dali, Football club Barcelona etc.
Preparation DELE
DELE: Diploma Español como Lengua Extranjera.
The most prestigious and most widely internationally recognized examinations in Spanish as a Foreign Language are the DELE examinations – ‘Diploma de Espanol como Lengua Extranjera’. These exams run at 6 levels – A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2. With a pass rate of 95%, our DELE Examination Preparation Course will give you the best preperation possible for these exams!
We will advise you as regards the appropriate exam for your level of Spanish. – A student who is a complete beginner would need to attend an Intensive Course (20 lessons/week) of a minimum of 8 weeks, followed by a 4-week DELE Examination Preparation Course in order to stand a good chance of passing the DELE ‘A1’ Exam. Depending on your level of Spanish and on which of the DELE exams you wish to take, you may, or may not need to attend an Intensive Spanish Course at our school before starting the DELE Examination Preparation Course. Courses for adults from 50 years
You can learn a language at any age! This Spanish course is ideal for mature students and senior citizens who wish to learn the Spanish language, whether they are complete beginners or already have some knowledge of Spanish. A range of cultural activities and excursions are included in the course price. The course is held in the mornings and consists of 20 Spanish lessons per week (4 lessons per day).

We organize activities exclusively for students on this course, so you will be socializing with students of a similar age. The organized activities include a wide variety of events such as workshops on Barcelona, Gaudí and the history of Catalonia, guided walks through different districts of Barcelona, dinner in a typical Catalan restaurant, a visit to La Pedrera, the Museo Picasso and Parc Güell, wine tasting and an excursion to Figueres to see the Museo Da

Instituto Cervantes
Instituto Cervantes Accreditation is an integrated conditions and requirements related to academic activity and teaching staff , facilities and equipment , administrative organization and information and publicity referred to a center dedicated to the teaching of ELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language) indicators system.

The Centers Accreditation System Cervantes Institute aims to:

Promote commitment to quality and improvement of schools that offer teaching Spanish in Spain and outside of Spain .
Encourage the development of a system of homogeneous teaching Spanish in their standards and with full guarantee of services and complementary activities offered .
Easier for people interested in learning Spanish choosing a center that has been accredited by a state agency prestige.
The accreditation by Cervantes Institute is the only internationally recognised certification, existent for public and private Spanish language schools.

The Cervantes Institute grants the accreditation to those Spanish language schools which once obtained and regularly regain a positive assessment in the following fields: academic activity and the teaching team, the facilities and equipment in the centre, the administrative organization, and students´ feedback.
Activities
Barcelona is a wonderful location in which to learn Spanish, a city of beautiful buildings, wonderful lifestyle, history, culture, excellent shopping and leisure facilities, plus kilometers of golden sandy beaches – truly unique, quite unlike anywhere else!

To help our students discover all that there is to see and do in Barcelona, as well as enjoy themselves and practice the Spanish that they learn on their course, we organize an extensive cultural program, composed of 7 activities per week, one activity each day, including weekends.

You will normally be accompanied by one of our teachers on these activities, so you get more opportunities to practice Spanish, and often see places that only the locals know! Many of these activities are free and others at only a small cost.
Free Services
Guided walks with tutors
As our school is located in the very centre of Barcelona, just 7 minutes’ walk from Plaza Cataluña, there are many places of interest within walking distance of the school. Typically, we organise at least one guided walk per week. We take students to places like the Gothic Quarter, Montjuic (where the Olympic stadium is), Gaudi’s Parc Guell, The Olympic port, ‘Las Ramblas’, to mention but a few

Welcome drink
Every week new students come to our school. So, we normally hold a “Welcome drink” in the evening for all students where we invite everyone a free drink in a bar close to the school. This is a great opportunity for students to meet and it is very popular with our existing students, who are naturally very interested to meet the new arrivals!

Level of Spanish and accessibility: This activity is suitable for students of all levels of Spanish, ages and abilities.
Touristic Tour
A great way to discover Barcelona is to join our tutors on an evening out. We normally meet at the school and then go on a ‘Tapas tour’ or ’Salsa night’ or a ’Concert ’. Our tutors really know Barcelona well, and these evenings are really popular with our students. The cost of the activity include the personal consumption, the entrance or guide, the Spanish practice is free!

Excursions during the weekend
We also organise excursions to local places of Interest such as the Monastery of Montserrat, the Dali museum in Figueres, day excursions to Girona, Sitges, Tarragona or ‘Tossa de Mar’.

Gastronomy
Paella on the school roof top terraces
We regularly offer a paella and sangria activity on our sun terraces, which are located on top of our school building. One of our teachers, Pedro, cooks the paella in front of our students, explaining how to prepare a real Spanish paella! He also shows the students how to mix a really good Spanish sangria. After 45 minutes of cooking, the students eat the paella and drink the sangria! Like all our daily activities, the paella and sangria activity is a great way for our students to listen to and use the Spanish they have learnt in class, learn something really interesting about Spain and Spanish culture , and also really enjoy themselves ! Dance
Spanish and Salsa Course
Learn Spanish and learn how to Salsa at the same time! Each week you’ll have 20 Spanish lessons (offered at all levels) with experienced, native Spanish teachers and 2 or 5 Salsa classes with professional Salsa instructors. Dancing the Salsa is the perfect way to unwind after Spanish lessons, and a great way to meet a welcoming bunch of Spanish salseros!
Our Salsa Classes take place in a dance academy situated outside our premises
You can take this Spanish and Salsa course even if you’re a newcomer to both Spanish and Salsa, though 15 different levels of Spanish and Salsa are available. You’ll be surprised by just how quickly you learn the language, and by how much fun you have dancing!
Once a week, your Salsa teachers will take you to practice your dance moves (and your Spanish) in one of the many Salsa clubs in Barcelona. Let them introduce you to the renowned nightlife of Barcelona!

Spanish and Flamenco course
lamenco is the most Spanish of all dances! This course combines 20 Spanish language lessons a week with 3 or 5 Flamenco classes/week. The Spanish lessons take place at our school and the Flamenco lessons at a nearby dance school which specializes in Flamenco dancing.
The course is suitable for students of all levels, whatever your level of Spanish and whether or not you have tried Flamenco dancing before. You will have a level test at our school on the first day of your course and in your dance lessons you will be taught by professional, fully qualified dance tutor.
This popular course is a great way to learn Spanish, make friends, and learn this most expressive and passionate of dance styles. The Flamenco lessons are offered at various times of day, to fit around your Spanish classes. You can choose between 3 and 5 Flamenco lessons/week, depending on how quickly you wish to progress with your Flamenco dance skills.
The Flamenco lessons start from basics (‘rumbas’) and progress onto alegrías, tangos, bulerías, and soleá. Use of castanets and rhythmic clapping and are also included. Whatever your level, it’s lots of fun, well-taught, great exercise, and really ‘Spanish’!

Most of our students move into their accommodation on the Sunday before their course starts, departing on the Saturday after the course finishes. However, it is often possible to arrive a day earlier, or leave a day later, though naturally there is a charge for the extra nights.

If you wish to stay on in your accommodation after your course finishes, or if you would like to book accommodation for a friend or relative who will not be attending a Spanish course at our school, we can normally arrange this for you, provided that the accommodation is available.
