The Spanish summer courses take place during the months of July and August, and are mainly aimed at schools, universities, travel agencies, wholesalers, tour operators, etc. The groups consist of at least 15 students and the duration ranges from a minimum of 2 weeks.

These courses give all students a general knowledge of the Spanish language with special reference to practical communication skills and comprehension, always giving a lot of opportunities for practice conversation inside and outside the class.

The classes take place in the morning, with a minimum of three hours per day, and the students spend the afternoons taking part in cultural and leisure activities that can be either sports or visits to cultural and tourist sites among others.

Our Course ?Spanish for Business? has been especially designed for professionals and students with intermediate or advanced level of Spanish language wishing to learn about trade and business by using the Spanish vocabulary in a practical way, and learning in real communicative situations.

The goals of the course are to bring closer the business world and work with specific vocabulary and situations. We study all the language skills but we focus on the business world and the student will improve fast their specific structures and vocabulary.

The courses develop a wide range of topics such as: import and export trade, business lunch, foreign trade, labour relationships, product, stock exchange, banking, advertising, insurances, job interviews, telephone calls, business correspondence, labour exchange, etc.


Spanish for Specific Uses

These courses are aimed at those people who require a good level of Spanish in order to use it in their professional life, with a specific vocabulary and situations.

For this reason we work in the different communicative situations in relation with their professional interest. In order to improve their vocabulary we include texts, documents and audiovisual media with the vocabulary corresponding to their areas.

Super Intensive Spanish

These courses are aimed at businessmen who require a good level of Spanish.

One of the major problems businessmen face is that they do not usually have a lot of time for the study of languages.

These courses are designed for the preparation of the exams to obtain the Certificate of Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE), which are official qualifications issued by Cervantes Institute and recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Culture.

These exams are aimed at those people who need an official accreditation of their level of competence and use of the language, and they try to bring closer the culture of all the Spanish speaking countries.

The DELE exams are divided into five different parts (reading comprehension, writing, listening comprehension, speaking, grammar and vocabulary), each one of them including several exercises. To obtain any of these qualifications, each section of the exam must be passed. In our price the enrollment in an examination centre is not included.

DELE levels of competence follow the six levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR):

Diploma de Español Nivel A1 (Starter level): This qualification attests to sufficient linguistic ability for a very basic range of the most commonly simple expressions used in the Spanish-speaking world and in order to satisfy immediate needs of a concrete type.
Diploma de Español Nivel A2 (Waystage or Elementary level): This qualification attests to sufficient linguistic ability for understanding a basic range of the commonly simple and immediate relevance of expressions used in the Spanish-speaking world (basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
Diploma de Español Nivel B1 (Inicial / Beginner level): This qualification attests to sufficient linguistic ability for understanding and responding appropriately in most normal day-to-day situations and for expressing desires and needs in a basic way.
Diploma de Español Nivel B2 (Intermedio / Intermediate level): This qualification validates sufficient linguistic ability to get by in average day-to-day situations in normal communication circumstances, which do not require specialized use of the language.
Diploma de español Nivel C1: At this level, users are expected to be able to use the structures of a language with ease and fluency. Users are able to adapt their language use to a variety of social situations, and express opinions and take part in conversations and arguments in a culturally acceptable way.
Diploma de Español Nivel C2 (Superior / Proficiency level): This qualification accredits the necessary linguistic competence to integrate in situations requiring an advanced use of the language and knowledge of the cultural customs embedded within it.

This course has been designed for teachers of Spanish as a foreign language who need to bring their knowledge up to date in a short space of time.

The course lasts a minimum of 2 weeks and consists of Spanish literature, Spanish language and Spanish history and culture.

In order to get to know the region of Cantabria and surroundings fully, the student has the opportunity to participate in visits to places and towns of cultural and historic interest, as well as being able to carry out any sport activities he/she prefers.
