Spanish Schools in Spain Private Lessons Curso one to one: el objetivo de este curso es atender a las necesidades y características personales del alumno; va dirigido a aquellos que necesitan aprender español a corto plazo, por lo tanto se le realizará un programa a su medida dependiendo de la finalidad del alumno y de su nivel. Consiste en clases individuales donde el alumno orientado por el director de estudios, decidirán el número de horas y la temática a tratar. Business Groups Spanish for Companies. Business Spanish Spanish for Tourism and Hostelry: this course is designed for students with a certain level of Spanish who, due to their academic studies or professional careers need to acquire communication skills in the tourism sector for specific situations (commercial mail, travel agencies, tourist guides, concierge, rates, restaurants, lodgings). The students have the opportunity of setting the syllabus in which they are most interested. Commercial and Business Spanish: this one to one course is designed to satisfy the specific needs of students who need to learn Spanish in a short period of time. The student will improve his/her business vocabulary using articles from major business papers. The Academic Director, together with the student, will design a program to optimize his stay, including the number of hours of class and the specific topics of interest. General Spanish Course(*) All general Spanish Courses are divided in two parts Theory, this part concentrates on the grammatical aspects of the Spanish language. After imparting new concepts the students do practice exercises in order to assimilate them. (Duration: two hours and a half/daily) Practice, the student learns and puts into practice, in real or simulated situations, how to effectively communicate in Spanish. This part of the course stresses the acquisition of new Spanish vocabulary, using readings, tapings, videos and press articles. It also offers the possibility of gaining fluency in expressing oneself through debates, representation, etc. (Duration: one and a half hours/daily) Levels Beginner A1: a first approximation to Spanish, this course is designed for students without any prior knowledge of the language. The course focuses on the acquisition of basic Spanish grammar in order to communicate in everyday basic situations. Elementary A2: designed for students with some previous knowledge of Spanish but who need to improve their ability to communicate and expand their vocabulary. This Spanish course places emphasis on the acquisition of grammatical concepts and the assimilation of those concepts already studied. Intermediate B1: designed to master advanced Spanish grammar concepts, fluency in communication and increasing lexical knowledge. Upper intermediate B2-C1: conceived for students of Spanish who already master the usage of the Spanish language. We seek to expand complex grammar concepts, although reviewing basic concepts as well. This course is complimented with subtler idiomatic expressions, colloquial expressions, formal writing, reading comprehension, and student presentations. Advanced C2: designed for students who, due to work or personal needs, need a native-like command of Spanish. These classes stress the importance of practising in order to assimilate the concepts learned, as well as in-depth studying of complex Spanish phonetics, morphology and syntax. Spanish Intensive Courses Spanish Intensive Course: the course is offered for all five levels and is designed for learning Spanish as a Second Language in an intesive setting (25 lessons per week), divided into two parts (theory and practice). *more info Spanish Intenive Course (COMBI): exactly the same as the Spanish Intensive Course but with 5 one to one lessons per week more.. *more info Spanish Courses for Specific Purposes These courses have flexible schedules to allow the student to integrate him/herself into several as he or she may need DELE. preparatory courses in Cadiz: these courses prepare our students for the examinations for the D.E.L.E diplomas in the four areas tested: reading, writing, speaking, and understanding. These diplomas, issued by the Cervantes Institute, are the only officially recognized certificates in the proficiency of Spanish. We approach this complex socio-cultural situation by studying Spain’s geography, customs and folklore, as well as the most important political, economic, and historical events. *more info Commercial and Business Spanish: this one to one course is designed to satisfy the specific needs of students who need to learn Spanish in a short period of time. Spanish for business with a work internships The course is divided into two parts: a theory class in which students learn and broaden their knowledge of Business Spanish (8 hours weekly) and a practical part where students will participate in work internships with some of the leading companies in the Bay of Cadiz (Cadiz, Chiclana, Jerez de la frontera, El Puerto de Santa María y Puerto Real). These internships will last a minimum of two months and a maximum of three and will entail fifteen weekly hours. The candidates will be placed in accordance to their experience and formal training in one of the province´s most important international industries. Students who are interested must have either an intermediate or advanced level Spanish. Activities You will find, integrated in our teaching programs, many visits and activities for our students. Additionally, we offer other optional cultural visits and weekend trips whose objective is to familiarize students with Spanish culture and way of life in general and, particularly, with Andalucia and Cadiz. Touristic Tour Visitas guiadas a centros de interés histórico-cultural de la Comunidad Autónoma. Sevilla, Córdoba, Granada, Cádiz... En estas visitas, además de acercar al alumnado a la cultura andaluza se trata de dar a conocer el rico patrimonio andaluz. Con más profundidad se ofrecerán visitas guiadas para conocer el patrimonio gaditano: Centro antiguo de Cádiz, visitas a museos, Torre Tavira, así como a los yacimientos y ruinas romanas existentes a lo largo de la Provincia. Visitas culturales extendidas tanto a poblaciones de la costa como del interior de la Provincia de Cádiz y que permiten un acercamiento tanto a la cultura, al patrimonio y a la vida actual de: Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos, Ruta del Toro, Ruta del Vino; visitas a bodegas de Jerez de la Frontera, Escuela Ecuestre... Accommodations We believe that in order to have a complete positive experience while studying and SIC each student must have a good course and a good place t olive thus completing a truly positive experience in and out of the school that is why our school accommodations try to be as confortable as possible. The school offers two types of accommodation depending on the student needs/wants All rooms whether in our residence or in a family stay are inspected regularly so your stay in Cadiz is as confortable as possible. Residence The residence is located in Calle Montañes on the corner with Palillero Square. Thus, it located in the middle of the lively downtown area, surrounded by stores, movie theater, and tapas bars. Your accommodation will be 5 minutes away from the school (bus line) or a 20-minute walk through the Cadiz boardwalk, and ten minutes walk to the famous Caleta beach. The residence is on a three story recently renovated neoclassic building. A Banco Santander Office occupies the first floor so our tenants only work through office hours. The second and third floor are for the exclusive use of our students. The second and third floor have 8 rooms each, distributed in single and some double rooms, a family room, kitchen, washing machine and laundry area. All rooms have natural light, window and Wi-Fi Access. Common areas are maintained on a weekly basis by school staff. We also have a live-in staff member who is there to aid/help you in anything you might require. Family Stay All our host families have worked with us for many years. We use a referral system so that new families are added only when referred by another host-family. All host-families complete a questionnaire with their of personal information (age, family size, location, etc.) We use that information to match our prospective students. All host-families live near the school and help the student on a day-to-day basis to make life much simpler while studying abroad. Our Housing Department uses a ranking system where past and present students rank the family before departing so we know exactly our families meet the highest standards. |
