Spanish Schools in Spain Private Lessons A private Spanish course based around the personal needs of the student. Level Coures A1 Elementary Basic level. Simple, everyday phrases. Isolated words or expressions. Aimed at students who have no knowledge of Spanish or who simply know a few words and odd expressions. At the end of this course students will be able to communicate in both the present simple and present perfect and use very basic expressions. A2 Pre Intermediate Plain and simple language. Aimed at students who possess a certain degree of understanding of the language. At the end of the course students will be able to speak clearly, slowly, and directly in single everyday conversations. They will be able to express actions both in the past and future. B1 Intermediate Understanding of everyday language . Clear expression of ideas. Sufficient knowledge to workplace activities. Aimed at students who can already use the correct structural form in the past, present and future. At the end of the course both their written and oral communication skills will be quite good in different situations. They will be able to understand and use the principal structures of Spanish and the subjunctive effectively. They will have acquired skills to converse including coherence, cohesion, connectors, negotiation, error correction, misunderstandings etc. B2 Upper Intermediate Structure of language (oral and written) . Expression safely in almost any situation and understanding of the native language partners. Aimed at students who can take part in discussions and speak fluently in a social conversation. The course objective is to allow students to develop skills to be able to do assessments, express wishes, hypothesize, give opinions and pass on messages. The students acquire a better understanding of the language and Spanish culture, participating both fluently and naturally in conversations. C1 Advance Almost total understanding including typical expressions of language. Similar to the mother tongue even in situations of complexity level. Aimed at students who have an advanced level of Spanish. Upon completion of this course they are able to understand a wide variety of longer, more demanding texts and recognize the implied meaning within them. Students express themselves fluently and spontaneously without having to hesitate whilst obviously searching for the correct expressions to say. Moreover, they can make use of the language in a flexibly and effectively way in social, academic and professional environments, as well as produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects. C2 Proficiency Commonly spoken foreign language and accurately . Using idioms. Aimed at students who have a highly effective working knowledge of Spanish. The course objective is to allow students to acquire the necessary language skills to function in any situation with complete efficiency, showing a spontaneous ability to adapt to any context, with a high degree of accuracy. Upon completion of this course the student displays a seemingly native command of the language with exceptional fluidity. Courses Intensive Course 20 20 Hours per week This Spanish course allows you to perfectly combine a holiday in Spain with learning Spanish and taking part in the centre’s extracurricular activities. It’s our most Spanish popular course! The first two lessons of this course cover the grammar explications and exercises, vocabulary, reading texts and/or the writing tasks. The lessons that follow focus on conversational skills: fluency, set phrases, oral and listening comprehension, debates, group discussions, oral presentations, role plays etc. Nº of students: 10 maximum Levels of Spanish: A1-C2 These courses begin: every week (except for beginners: check dates) Spanish tuitions per day: 4 (1 = 45 minutes) Spanish lessons per week: 20 Spanish course timetable: Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 12.45pm or from 1pm to 4.15pm. Intensive Course 30 30 hours per week This course is aimed at: 1. Working professionals who need to use the Spanish language but who only have a short period of time in which to learn it. 2. Students who wish to go over or expand on their current knowledge. 3. German working professionals taking part in the Bildungsurlaub scheme. Preparation DELE DELE: Diploma Español como Lengua Extranjera. This is a very complete course that combines general Spanish lessons with DELE exam preparation classes. The general Spanish lessons cover grammar, vocabulary and various activities to practise the language in all areas. The DELE exam preparation lessons concentrate on studying past exam papers and exam technique. Activities TLCdénia organises extracurricular activities so that our students have firsthand experience of Spanish customs, traditions and the local area. Denia is home to a wealth of opportunities and positive experiences that will make any stay an unforgettable one. At TLCdénia languages are practiced both inside and outside the classroom as Spanish and foreign students participate in activities together, helping to forge an international atmosphere. Touristic Tour - Visit to the castle: you can discover the main monument of Denia and the Archaeological Museum. It has amazing views and is located on a gentle hill beside the sea and in the historical city centre. - Go on a learning experience through the past at the Ethnological museum or the Toy museum. Culture - Workshops: Participate in one of our workshops on music, film, literature or local traditions. Gastronomy - Visit the many local food markets around Denia which offer local and fresh products as well as an opportunity to practise your speaking skills. - Try the different tapas and wine which are created in the local restaurants to have a taste of Mediterranean cuisine and Spanish culture. Usually a couple of euros per tapa and you can spend as long as you like! Dance -Salsa workshops. Students learn the basics of salsa dance. Accommodations Homestay Living with a family can be very interestinto get to know the Spanish way of life. It allows you ithin the home, the customs, the food, ways of enjoying yourself and, above all, you can practice Spanish out of the classroom. You are just another member of the family. We have links with a number of trustworthy and experienced families which are 5-15 minutes walk from the school. We offer single and double rooms. If you want to share a room with someone it has to be a relative or friend. You can choose between bed breakfast, half board and full board. It is not necessary to bring your own towels for the bathroom, but if you need towels at the beach, please bring your own. There will be bed linen in the apartment, too. Shared flat spanish_courses_with_accommodationThis is the most independent option. You have your own room and share all the communal areas: the sitting room, the kitchen, the bathroom, the toilet… Some of our flats have Spanish students that live in the flat, which offers the opportunity to practise Spanish at home. They include bed linen, blankets, use of kitchen and laundry room, shared bathroom and TV. Cleaning is not included. Accommodation is available between 12:00 noon on the Sunday prior to the first day of the course (Monday) until 10:00 noon on the Saturday following the last day of class (Friday). Those students that for different reasons need extra days, there will be an extra cost per day. In the low season it is not possible for a single person to book a double room. Please supply your own towels. Private city apartment The school can rent out a furnished apartment for as long as necessary. Two months notice is required in high season. This is a service exclusively provided for our students while studying in the school. 2. The prices provided are for weekly rental. These prices are inclusive of the cost of electricity, water and gas on the understanding that there is reasonable usage. 3. Rental must be paid in advance. You can choose one of three different kinds of apartments. The studio is a small room with a bathroom and a place to cook. The one and two bedroom apartments are more spacious. All apartments have a place to cook and refrigerator. There is also a community pool, where you can relax after your Spanish lessons. The price reflects the quality and we are sure that you will enjoy your stay in these apartments. Day of arrival (after 5:00 p.m.) and departure (before 10:00 a.m.) is Saturday. Hostel In the heart of the Denia’s historical centre We offer accommodation in a hostel situated in the heart of the Denia’s historical centre, close to many shops and restaurants. There is even a rumor that there is a secret tunnel to from hostel to the castle. The hotel was formerly a convent and was built by the Marques de Campo about 450 years ago. Located close to the beach (800m), it has 43 recently refurbished, comfortable rooms each equipped with a plasma TV, air conditioning, heating and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. It has an air-conditioned restaurant offering an international menu, cocktail bar, indoor and outdoor terrace, a fabulous patio, sun terrace, games room and a television. Although located in the centre of town parking is not a problem as it has private car park and a night concierge. This type of accommodation is ideal for school groups due to its proximity to the academia and the fact that the layout of the hostel makes it easy for the tutors to supervise students in their rooms. It is also a good choice for those students who prefer to enjoy the comforts of a hostel whilst staying in Dénia. |
