Spanish Schools in Spain Courses Intensive Course 30 30 hours per week 60-hour courses (45 of classes and 15 of work at home) Grammatical, functional, lexical and sociocultural contents are provided. In order to teach these contents the lectures will include: Communicative skills: linguistic, discursive, strategic and sociolinguistic. Syllabuses with a communicative approach and student-centred. Comprehension, expression and interaction tasks, both oral and written. Before the start of each course, students will be tested on line to determine their level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Schedule: from 17:00 h to 20:15 h. (180 minutes with a break of 15 minutes). Cf. Interest info. Small groups (maximum c. 20 students). The number of places is limited. Enrolment fee for courses 2015/2016: €225, including teaching, the material used in the classes (the book and the notebook, if necessary, will be paid by the student) and the attendance certificate. University of Zaragoza Erasmus students (except Erasmus trainee) will benefit with a discount (€75) on one course, after having supplied evidence of their status. Enrolment fee for courses 2016/2017: €240, including tuition, material used in the classes (except the price of the textbook) the exam fees and the certificate of achievement (for those students who have attended at least 85% classes and have passed pertinent tests). Erasmus students (except Erasmus trainees) will benefit from a €80 discount in a single course. These courses have possibility of convalidation for 1 ECTS credit. Preparation DELE DELE: Diploma Español como Lengua Extranjera. Specific DELE preparation courses 60-hour courses (45 class hours) Aim: To prepare students for the exams leading to the Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE). Course dates: November exams 2017: course from 2 until 18 November 2017. April exams 2017: course from13 until 31 March 2017. May exams 2017: course from 20 April until 10 May 2017. Direction reserves the right to cancel the course if the minimum number of students required is not met. Teacher Training For teachers of Spanish Initial Training Course for teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language The course is organised jointly by the Cervantes Institute, the Aragon Government and the Courses in Spanish as a Foreign Language of the University of Zaragoza. 50 class hours. Enrolment fee for the course: €385. This course includes classes in problem areas in Spanish grammar, and in the methodology of teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE). The course will take place on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. Aims: To provide the necessary grounding enabling students on the course to focus their own education to teaching Spanish as a foreign language. To study in depth the basic aspects of methodology in the teaching of Spanish to foreign students. To analyse resources and strategies for teaching Spanish in the foreign language classroom. Aimed at: Spanish and foreign teachers of Spanish as a foreign language, Philology (preferably Spanish) graduates or final year students who wish to focus their training on teaching Spanish to foreign students. Given the initial nature of this course, enrolment is not recommended for people who have already attended similar course. Evaluation criteria: Attendance and participation in academic activities planned (participants must attend at least 85 % of these activities) will be taken into account. In addition, students must complete at the end of the course a final report, with a maximum length of 10500 characters (with spaces) in which the most significant points of the course will be summarized, and give personal opinion, based on some aspects that were of special interest. The report will be corrected by the academic direction of the course. The rating will be pass or don't pass. Students who consistently attend and make full use of the classes will be awarded an approved diploma which can be validated by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports of the Government of Aragon, carrying 5 credits for Permanent Teacher Training qualifications, provided that the students fulfil the requirements established by the competent official bodies (Orden del 18 de mayo de 2015). The course may be validated as 5 free-choice credits by the University of Zaragoza and by the G9 Group of Universities under the terms and conditions set out by these institutions. Attendance is compulsory and absences, regardless of the reason, may not exceed 15 % of the total duration of the course (7’5 hours). The number of places is limited. Interested students must NOT make any payments before receiving confirmation of there are seats available on the course. Please include with the inscription form a brief CV and a copy of the degree.
