Founded since 1993, Sothis has been providing quality Spanish Language classes to foreigners living on the island as well as travellers interested in learning the language during their holidays. From day one, Sothis places great emphasis on spoken language. In addition to grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary exercises, students are exposed to Spanish in its colloquial form; providing them an insight into the social and historical structure of the country. This enhances the ability of students in using Spanish in everyday situations such as visiting the cafés, grocery stores or immerse themselves in one of the many festivals in the Canary Islands.

Courses

Intensive Course 20

20 Hours per week

These intensive courses form an integral part of our high standard learning program and vary between 3 to 6 hours of 45 minutes daily (a total of 15 – 30 hours per week), depending on the level.
Curriculums for these courses are carefully prepared to provide an intensive and progressive language development. Attention is paid equally to fluency, comprehension and extensive exploration of the newly introduced topics. Daily homework and revision are incorporated to reinforce the learning process. Our advanced courses include introduction to the culture, history and geography of Spain.
Maximum number of students in a class is 6.
Courses start every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month.

Los cursos en grupo tendrán un máximo de ocho personas. El curso consta de tres horas semanales repartidas en dos días a la semana (una hora y media cada lección).

or our senior students, we offer special courses in which we focus our attention on the spoken language. The learning rhythm and pace are adapted according to the students’ needs.
These courses consist of several modules and themes of everyday life. Our teaching material is a blend of the traditional and modern methods. We explain the language, allowing students to understand its application and therefore able to “learn by heart”.
